CERES21 researchers held a workshop at the University of Ghana where ongoing projects were discussed. Videos from the open lectures are available on the event page.

Events

During the first days of December, several of the core researchers and affiliated scholars to CERES21 met in Accra, Ghana. Hosted by our partner institution University of Ghana, the workshop was partly open to specially invited both public and political stakeholders. The first workshop day was dedicated to "Climate in the media", while the second workshop focused on "Transition to low-carbon automotive and electricity sectors".

On May 23, 2011 the CERES21-project, Arne Næss Chair at the Centre for Development and the Environment (SUM), and Centre for Corporate Responsibility (BI) will host the Oslo Sustainability Summit 2011.

On Wednesday, 9 December, “Movement Against Dictators” - a new initiative at Oslo University - presented the first annual Dictator of the Year award at the University Square. The prize went to “an individual who, during the preceding year, shall have done the most to inspire hostility among his people and between nations, significantly increased the level of human suffering, ruined human livelihoods and created war and mayhem.”
The aspiration of the Oslo Sustainability Summit is to create a forum for innovative thinkers and leaders from all over the world.
